Beginning at a much more basic level is like learning the alphabet at school. Sometimes there are many things that we don’t consider, because we are unable to understand their content. Here, the plan appears as an element of the archaic secular architecture that addresses the fundamental issues without any kind of mannerism. We’re trying to understand what was meant by a wall, or by a column, while anything else became too complicated. Transposing this in fashion, we are questioning if the garment represents not only the support for our language but an ornament itself, as a reductive approach, so we have to know the elements of this language before we can make use of the finished forms. The thread that seals the fabric, as the structure that holds together the building and the pillar as one of the basic elements of the structure used to create form, are both trying to be understood in this relationship between function and form.
